lyn singer

I am an Australian designer, visual artist, theatre director, and writer based in Newcastle, NSW.

My practice spans freeform 3D crochet using recycled materials โ€” particularly wires from old bras โ€” as well as ceramics, graphic design, photography, stage design, and multimedia projects.

I have exhibited my sculpture, I am planning a freeform crochet exhibition, and have designed and created stage sets, directed collaborative theatre productions, and I am currently completing my first novel.

My site showcases my portfolio, projects, and professional work.

Am I a polymath or have I just lived long and stayed curious?

Look out world, I am writing again, (I just have to actually follow through and convince/con someone else, i.e. a publisher, to like it โ€ฆ. ) so I am calling it a vanity project so the pressure is off!

Don’t Mention Casablanca

written by Michellanne Forster

Directed by Leanne Mueller

I also did the photography, such fun to make everyone movie stars.

2023 I had my first exhibition!

hand built and painted ceramic brains, half human and half coral – all experimented on some conjoined and rebuilt by science in an effort to “fix” our dying reef.
